 We are Cherry Class

This term we are joined by Miss C. Orme.

Welcome to the Spring Term.

This term we are focusing on traditional stories such as The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood.

Phonics will be taught in groups which exactly match your child's  ability and we will continue to develop phonic ability in our daily phonics lessons.

In Mathematics, as well as continuing to develop the ability to use numbers, we will explore Shape, Space and Measure. We will teach the Mathematical names for both 2D and 3D shapes and  explore weight, size, capacity and distance. We will also begin to learn about time and money.

We have introduced a Maths library this term and hope you will enjoy using these new games at home. Please let us know using Tapestry.

Please read with your child every day, even a few minutes  really does make a difference. If you would like any guidance or further resources please talk to us.

Some things we have been enjoying in Cherry Class.

We have PE With our Sports Coach Mr Wolfe on Monday mornings (half the class attend Forest school, half attend PE). Please ensure your child has suitable,  named indoor and outdoor PE kit in school.
