Welcome to Holly!
Class teacher - Miss Knowles
Teaching Assistant - Mrs Reed/Mrs Clarke
Our topic this term is:
Our topic is all about ... Our country!
The children will learn all about where they live and what fantastic things this country has to offer. We will become more aware of the geography and landscape of the country and national heritages like the National Trust, important buildings and landmarks and learn a little bit more about our capital city. The children will start to look at types of transport and think about journeys and journey times, exploring which methods are the best to use to get to certain destinations. Before you know it they will be planning their own holidays!
We have got so many fantastic and exciting things planned; it’s going to be a wonderful final term!
Things to do at home
We have PE every Friday morning. Please ensure your child has a suitable, named indoor and outdoor PE kit in school.
Things you will need
Please ensure all clothing is clearly labelled with your child's name so that we can try our best to return any items if lost.
Our door is always open if you need to discuss anything or simply want to find out more please talk to us.
Useful websites to try
We teach phonics every day in small groups within our classrooms. It is a very important aspect of the Early Years curriculum and will really support your child's reading.
Helping your child with their number recognition and 1:1 counting can really make a difference.
Play these fun games with your child: patterns, sorting, shape recognition, music, PSED and counting.
