Community Garden Project

Updated: 5 days ago

We have started a Community Garden Project at Booth Wood. It is such a fantastic opportunity for our children to learn some practical life skills and understand where our food comes from. Over the summer Mrs Roper and Miss Knowles have planted an assortment of vegetables in our garden planters. The Year 3 children have also grown their own vegetables and made their own bug hotels.

Over the course of the year we will have our very own Garden Rangers going outside to maintain the garden and look after our plants. So far we have grown potatoes, tomatoes, carrots and chives. We have made our own potato salad and our very own country vegetable soup! The children have loved taking part and seeing how the seeds have developed to fantastic vegetables.
