6B are taking part on cookery lessons over the next few weeks. They cooked family-friendly, low-budget meals and learnt lots of new skills along the way.
Check back here each week for updates and photos!
Week 1
Creamy Garlic Chicken with Pasta
The group enjoyed making this meal, learning new skills and they all liked the taste too! We did this with pasta, but you could do it with rice or potatoes (anything you fancy really!).

Week 2
Vegetarian Chilli
The group all enjoyed making this meal, learning new skills and they all liked the taste too! We did this with rice, but you could do it with potato wedges or even pasta (anything you fancy really!).
We created our dish using a jar of chilli sauce and then added extra onions, peppers and chopped tomatoes. There are loads of recipes online if you want to make your own sauce, but here is an easy one.

Week 4
Chicken stir-fry with noodles
The group all enjoyed making this meal, learning new skills and you all liked the taste too! They did this with noodles, which is very traditional.
We made this using a packet of stir fry sauce and a packet of frozen stir fry vegetables, and then added extra baby sweetcorn. We discussed the benefits of frozen vegetables over fresh (cost & freshness). You can make your own stir fry sauce:
