Our topic is 'Our Local Heroes' and we are learning all about Robin Hood.
We thought it would be a great opportunity to head to the woods with our Forest School teacher Mrs Clarke and make our very own bows and arrows.
Throughout our session, we thought about which materials we might use from the woods and what sort of properties the materials needed to have. The children chose bendy sticks, secured them with string and some even added coloured wool to add a touch of personalisation!
We then had the chance to let our imaginations run wild as we ran through 'Sherwood Forest' pretending to be Robin himself.
It was so much fun!
We're all getting very excited for our trip to Sherwood Forest now!
