Year 5 visited the Think Tank Science Museum in Birmingham to explore space and technology!
The first activity involved us exploring materials and learning about reversible and irreversible changes. We were able to make a balloon inflate by mixing bicarbonate of soda with vinegar - this was amazing! After this, we were able to create our very own slime by combining PVA and Borax and this was an amazing experience for us all.
Once we had finished our experiments, we visited the Planetarium. This was an eye opening experience where we learnt all about our solar system and even saw a star that was 1700 x bigger than our Sun! Finally, to bring our amazing day to a fantastic end, we visited the Science garden; exploring forces.
