Reading in Year 6

We read many books in year 6 through our English lessons, daily whole class story, individual reading books and library books. Reading opens up the world and allows us to explore and go to places we could only dream of.

It is important that children read regularly, and develop a love of reading.

Our current whole class story is...

'Pig Heart Boy' by Malorie Blackman

You're thirteen. All you want is a normal life. But most normal kids don't need heart transplants.

So there's this doctor. He says there's a chance for you.But he also says it's experimental, controversial and risky. And it's never been done before.
